Rental agreement for the rental of an apartment in the Czech Republic

The rental agreement must comply with the provisions of the Civil Code which describes in full detail all important aspects of renting out an apartment. That means that there is little space beyond the Civil Code on what we can agree on. If we agree on something in the agreement that violates the Civil Code, for example we shorten the notice period, such a provision is invalid and in case of court proceedings, the court will rule out as per the Civil Code.
